What is Finsa's Fabric Line?
Finsa's Fabric Line was born from the meeting of soft fabric and the solidity of a technical panel. The result is an innovative surface capable of bringing a new material dimension to interiors — one that is warm and sophisticated.
The fabrics, all stain-resistant, are applied to Superpan, a panel made up of a chipboard core covered by two layers of MDF, in a format of 2850 × 1220 mm and a thickness of 18 mm.
Where can Fabric panels be used?
The panels in the collection are recommended mainly for vertical applications, such as:
• decorative boiserie;
• wall cladding;
• wardrobe and walk-in wardrobe doors;
• headboards;
• bespoke furniture;
• furnishing elements;
• residential and contract settings.
For horizontal, flat-surface applications — such as bedside tables or worktops — we recommend fitting a sheet of glass to protect the fabric.
Three textile finishes to suit every furnishing style: leather, linum and suede
The collection offers three different finishes, each with its own aesthetic and tactile identity.
Recycled leather
An elegant and sustainable solution, made from recycled material to combine design with care for the environment — a subject we hold dear.

To complete the Fabric system, Finsa has developed a range of aluminium profiles dedicated to finishing and joining the panels.
Available in black and bronze finishes, the profiles allow for precise, carefully finished solutions even on large-scale projects. Two types are available.
T-profile: the solution for finishing panel edges
The T-profile allows the ends of panelling to be closed off and enhanced, creating a clean, tidy aesthetic detail.
It is particularly suited to:

H-profile: for joining multiple panels and creating continuous surfaces
The H-profile allows several elements to be connected together, maintaining visual continuity and precision in the composition.

The Fabric Line comes with important certifications guaranteeing compliance with the required standards.
The certifications available include:
• OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for the Suede and Linum finishes;
• certification to the OEKO-TEX® standard for the Leather finish;

How to install Fabric panels correctly to ensure stability and durability
Like all wood-based materials, Fabric panels may naturally react to variations in ambient humidity.
For this reason, it is important to follow a few simple guidelines before and during installation.
Before installation, it is advisable to allow the panels to acclimatise in the location where they will be fitted, so that the material can adapt to the ambient conditions.
In the case of wall cladding or continuous panelling, adequate expansion gaps must also be allowed for around the perimeter.
These precautions allow the panel to compensate for any dimensional changes due to the surrounding environment and help keep the cladding stable over time.
How to handle Fabric panels without damaging the textile surface
To preserve the aesthetic quality of the material, we recommend:
• avoiding intense rubbing between panel surfaces;
• using protective gloves when handling.
Proper handling of the material helps prevent abrasions, dirt or surface alterations before final installation.
How to work and cut Fabric panels for a precise result
To achieve precise cuts and extend the life of the tools used, it is advisable to use cutting tools with diamond tips.
Cleaning Fabric panels and keeping them looking good over time is possible!
For routine cleaning, we recommend:
• periodically removing dust and small residues using a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner;
• acting quickly in the event of accidental stains;
• using a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth;
• using a small amount of neutral soap where necessary.
When cleaning, it is important to avoid overly vigorous rubbing, which could alter the texture of the fabric.
Before applying any cleaning product, it is always advisable to carry out a test in a less visible area of the panel.
How to remove the most common stains from the Linum and Suede finishes
The textile surfaces of the Fabric Line are designed to be used even in everyday, lived-in spaces. In the event of stains, it is important to act promptly to prevent dirt from penetrating the fibre.
Spirit, wine, coffee and tea stains
To remove this type of stain, gently dab the surface with a clean, damp cloth, avoiding vigorous rubbing.
For more specific treatment:
• for spirit stains, diluted alcohol can be used;
• for wine stains, diluted white vinegar can be used;
• for coffee or tea stains, diluted ammonia can be used.
Oil and grease stains
For oily stains, lukewarm water and neutral soap can be used.
If the stain persists, a dry-cleaning stain remover can be used, applied with a clean cloth and worked gently from the outer edge of the stain towards the centre.
This helps prevent the dirt from spreading across the surface.
Ink stains
For ink stains, it is advisable to first dab the area with kitchen paper, then follow up with a cloth lightly dampened with alcohol.
Products to avoid
To preserve the quality of the textile covering, it is important not to use:
• bleach;
• waxes;
• harsh detergents;
• washing-up liquid;
• non-specific solvents.
These products could compromise the colour and structure of the surface.
How to store Fabric panels with the Leather finish correctly
The Leather finish shares characteristics with natural hides, owing to the presence of recycled leather fibres. For this reason, it requires some specific care during storage, so as to maintain stability and aesthetic quality over time.
Panels must be stored:
• at room temperature;
• with a relative humidity level of roughly between 50% and 65%;
• away from direct sunlight.
Environments that are too dry can cause the material to shrink, while excessive humidity can cause dimensional changes, surface irregularities or warping.
In very humid environments, or in the event of prolonged contact with water, mould may also appear.
Temperatures that are too high or too low can likewise compromise the material's characteristics.
How to clean the Leather surface of the Fabric Line
To maintain the Leather finish, we recommend using gentle products and tools that will not damage the surface.
For routine cleaning, the following are suitable:
• liquid washing-up detergent diluted according to the manufacturer's instructions;
• a soft cloth.
For more stubborn dirt, a glass cleaner may be used, applied gently with a dry cloth.
Particular attention should be paid to stains caused by certain foods and drinks, such as:
• mustard;
• coffee;
• red wine.
Especially on lighter shades, these substances could leave permanent marks if not removed promptly.
