From 3 to 7 June, the seventh edition of the Genova Design Week transformed the Porto Antico and the city’s historic centre into a vibrant hub of creativity, design, and innovation. Among the event’s most anticipated projects, Container 03 once again confirmed its status as a benchmark for experimentation in contemporary interior design.
As part of the exhibition route The Sky in a Room (Il Cielo in una Stanza), inspired by Gino Paoli’s iconic and poetic vision and dedicated to the theme of micro-living, Enrico Colombo took part in Container 01, designed by architects Andrea Benedetti and Alberto Vanin. The installation offered a compelling interpretation of contemporary living, demonstrating how a compact space can be transformed into an emotional, functional, and surprisingly open experience that reimagines the possibilities of modern habitation.
The value of design in small spaces
The 2026 edition of Container 03 centred on an increasingly relevant question: how can limited spaces be designed without compromising comfort, identity or quality of life? The micro-living theme challenged designers, architects and companies to develop innovative solutions capable of making the most of every square centimetre, turning spatial constraints into creative opportunities.
